Enhancement of the operation efficiency of a cooling tower at the expense of regulation of the uniformity of distribution of atomized drops over the irrigation area

Abstract:

We have carried out an experimental investigation of the zones of drip irrigation which are formed in the course of liquid atomization by centrifugal atomizers. We studied both a single atomizer and two atomizers with oppositely directed spray cones. It has been shown that using the technology of oppositely directed sprays leads to a considerable increase in the area of drip irrigation. We have also studied the factors that affect the uniformity of distribution of atomized drops over the irrigation area.
